Diurnal plant/insect growth chambers have a temperature range of 2-50°C, ± 1°C in air at the sensor. A Watlow microprocessor controls and displays the day and night chamber temperatures, while mechanical fail safes inside the chamber protect chamber contents in the unlikely event of a temperature excursion. Four levels of epoxy coated wire shelves with a pair of fluorescent lights above each provide the space and lighting (up to 5500 lux) for seed germination and insect development. Easy to use mechanical clocks turn lights on/off and the temperature hi/low. Popular options include vertical lighting, clock-controlled on/off additive humidity, or microprocessor-controlled additive humidity.
