The BLUelf Prestained Protein Ladder is a three-color protein standard with 13 pre-stained proteins, covering a wide molecular weight range from 5 to 245 kDa. Proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore, except for two reference bands (one green at 25 kDa and one red at 75 kDa) when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer).
The BLUelf Prestained Protein Ladder is designed for monitoring protein separation during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verifying Western transfer efficiency on membranes (PVDF, nylon, or nitrocellulose), and approximating the size of proteins. It is supplied in gel loading buffer and is ready to use.
Special Features:
- Wide Range: 5 to 245 kDa
- Reference Bands: One green at 25 kDa, one red at 75 kDa
- Ready to Use: Supplied in loading buffer for direct gel loading
- Clear Bands: 13 sharp bands in a three-color standard for easy visualization
- Quality Control: Lot-to-lot tested to ensure consistent product quality

Migration patterns of BLUelf Prestained Protein Ladder under various electrophoresis conditions:
Note: The molecular weight of each protein (kDa) was measured against an unstained protein ladder in each electrophoresis condition. Additional data should be considered for more accurate adjustment.
- Use 3 μl or 5 μl per loading for clear visualization on 15-well or 10-well mini-gels, respectively.
- Use 2.5 μl per well for general Western blot transferring.
- Apply more for thicker (>1.5 mm) or larger gels.
All products are for research use only.

No, this protein ladder is ready to use
No, Froggabio protein ladders are ready to load. We do not recommend heating/boiling them as this may cause degradation of proteins in the standard
No, this protein ladder is ready to use
Yes, protein marker is another name for protein ladder, same as protein molecular weight marker, protein MW marker, and protein standards
